Flooring Installation in Pinellas County, Florida
This Pinellas County flooring renovation included removal of multiple existing floor finishes throughout a three-bedroom home with two bathrooms, a kitchen and an office. Old tile, luxury vinyl plank and carpet were removed to create a consistent surface for the new flooring installation.
After demolition and floor preparation, new 12" x 24" tile flooring was installed throughout the remodeled areas. Using one coordinated flooring material helped create a cleaner, more continuous appearance from room to room while providing a durable, low-maintenance finished surface.

Demolition & Subfloor Preparation
The flooring renovation began with removal of the existing tile, LVP and carpet throughout the affected areas. Once the old flooring was removed, the underlying surfaces were inspected and prepared for the new tile installation.
In the office area, cement backer board was installed over the wood subfloor to provide a stable, tile-ready surface. Areas of the concrete slab that had previously been trenched for plumbing or other utilities were patched, smoothed and leveled to create a more consistent substrate before the new flooring was installed.
Proper floor preparation helped create a solid foundation for the new 12" x 24" tile, improve transitions between rooms and produce a cleaner, more consistent finished floor throughout the home.
Flooring and Baseboard Installation
After the subfloor preparation was completed, new 12" x 24" tile flooring was installed throughout the remodeled areas. A complementary grout color was selected to blend with the tile and create a clean, consistent finished appearance from room to room.
New flat-profile baseboards were installed along the perimeter of the finished spaces to complete the flooring transition and give the home a more updated, streamlined look. The combination of large-format tile, coordinated grout and new baseboards helped create a durable, low-maintenance floor with a clean finish throughout the renovation.
